Escaping the Sky is about life after death, and in drawing this it helped me to cope with my grief
When I was younger I had a lot of people die in my life, and spent many years thinking about life, death, the meaning of everything and how things worked.
I studied and researched, eventually I found great solace in quantum physics...and a lot of my art is about that...nothing leaves us - everything just changes form.
So I began drawing them there on another plane of existence...and it comforted me
This drawing is my personal depiction of life after death or perhaps a representation of visitation from spirit.
The pink person in the sky is our mother, who has escaped the spirit world...leaving the grey space...ergo the name of the drawing is called escaping the sky...to visit us on our path of life.
This representation of life after death as floating spirits all around us on another plane of existence is the beginning of a life long iconography throughout my art
Do you have art on your walls that means something ... is it personal...is it sending you the right messages ... dont waste this opportunity
Are you surrounded by generic meaningless bulk bought things from china - or do you have art that provokes a memory, or builds an emotion - that lifts you up
The art on your walls is an opportunity to train your mind - it becomes part of the story you are telling yourself EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY"
Its like an affirmation or a mantra
Your environment is a reflection who you are and how you choose to express yourself - and in this ecclectic world no-one wants to look like they live in a cookie cutter of Ikea - everyone is special and unique - you are different
Mandy has spent her whole career creating works of art that are uplifting - positive- and are reflections on the beautiful harmony in which we exist
And so are these limited edition art prints - they are rare and beautiful and limited AND THEY ALL MEAN SOMETHING.
These are the messages you want to send to yourself, your children and your family- you are surrounded by love -
the universe loves and supports you
escaping the sky has been made by a short run lithographic print of 900 copies throughout the world...so if you divide the 7.4 billion on the planet .... it means there is a mind bogglingly small percentage of people can own one - its like winning lotto
Each limited edition is hand signed and numbered by Mandy - as the prints are sold, the price goes up.
escaping the sky is 54cm x 70cm ... 21.2 inches x 27.5inches
They are made on a high quality, 220gsm, monsa satin paper stock - so they are smooth - no fake canvas-like bumps , and it is the strongest paper that doesnt crease when you roll it into a mailing tube -
The reason these limited edition prints were created is to support Mandys creativ experiments in water saving garden projects and the building of large sculptures
At the new public studio in Beverley Western Australia called "The Art Garden" - Mqndy is slowley creating an experiential walk through work of art .. its a garden full of Mandys latest sculptures,
plasma cut metal art, large murals and a painting studio full of giftware...its lots of fun
This limited edition print on special will be sent to you FOR FREE - rolled in a tube
Normally a limited edition print would be delivered in a flat pack for free
The package is enormous - and if you have some fun with wrapping paper, ribbons and bows - they make REALLY IMPRESSIVE PRESENTS
IN UNISON WITH THIS SALE THERE IS ALSO A COMPETITION TO WIN A FLAT PACKED PRINT OF escaping the sky
I link the painting of the flatpacked print to a mini art lesson - so I paint it live on every social media I can stream on - and this month I have even turned the process into a real life art workshop book that you can use to follow along with the videos I have been making
My print has just arrived & I must say that it took my breath away, it is so beautiful. Even more so than I thought when ordering it. The way it was packaged for delivery was top notch.
I hope that you have another available as I would like to order one for my friend.
Kindest regards "
Thank you so much for the cards and booklet. That booklet was just what I have been looking for the last few days, just what I needed. Isn it it funny how you start thinking of things and then something pops up exactly at the right time..your booklet... the universe was listening to me, amazing.
I received your print also and absolutely love it, once I get it framed will post it up on facebook and show it off.
Your awesome, thanks again."
" The print arrived and we showed it to Haley last night, she loves it and loved exploring all the little images involved in it. She also loves the little book of postcard type images that you attached, she carried it around all evening with her last night and built a little cubby out of couch cushions that was her holiday house in Dunsborough and looked at the pictures in the while she ate dinner."
"Hi Mandy - You are delightful! Thanks for adding your sparkly spark to our friendly universe!
In Delight! In Gratitude,"
